Medical Society of Prince Edward Island (MSPEI)

About: Provides a 24/7, confidential support line for MSPEI physicians, resident doctors, medical students, and their partners and dependent children. Intake counsellors will help identify needs and offer to connect with a program physician who can provide peer support and help with system navigation. They provide support on various issues such as relationship and workplace issues, mental health, career and life transitions, substance use, concern for colleagues, burnout, and financial issues. *The Physician Health Program is offered through Doctors of British Columbia’s Physician Health Program.

Physician Coaching Program

About: This MSPEI program matches physicians with qualified leadership coaches to support them in strengthening their leadership skills or to help with their overall health and wellness.

Employee Assistance Program (EAP)

About: Provides confidential, professional counselling services to help resolve problems that affect your personal life and work performance. Services are available to individuals, couples, immediate family members, and retirees. Assistance is provided to concerns related to relationship difficulties, work-related stress, family/parenting/eldercare issues, alcohol and substance abuse, work/life balance, legal and financial stress, and life transitions.

About: Provides confidential mental health services for adults, youth, and those wanting to support family members.

About: The EDIHR Office is dedicated to fostering an equitable, diverse, and inclusive campus that is welcoming to all and free from harassment, bullying, and discrimination. About: Provides 24/7, short-term, solution-focused approach to professional counselling to assist in resolving concerns and issues related to legal, financial, family, and nutrition.

About: Works with students, staff, and faculty who experience forms of harassment and discrimination at work, and to maintain the rights of those individuals to participate in activities at the University without fear of discrimination or harassment.

Student Affairs and the Webster Centre for Student Success

About: Provides specialized support and programs to students to help adjust to new learning environments and provide mental health support through counselling, academic advising, peer support program, etc.

Canadian Mental Health Association – PEI Division

About: Facilitate access to the resources people require to maintain and improve mental health and community integration, build resilience, and support recovery from mental illness. They have offices, programming space and housing units in Charlottetown, Summerside, Alberton, and Montague.
